License information and license updates can be found under the device's basic settings.

1. Go to Settings → Basic Settings → License.

2. Check if the license is valid and how many loads or functions it covers.

3. If you have received a new license key, enter it on the same page and update the license.

4. A license change usually does not require replacing the gateway, but the model still sets the technical maximum level.

No. The HAN-P1 Converter is powered from the electricity meter's HAN/P1 port.

Therefore, it should not be connected to the M-Bus loop without first being powered by the electricity meter.

Without voltage from the HAN/P1 port, the converter will not start and will not respond to the M-Bus.

Important: Never connect it as if it were a separate M-Bus device with its own power supply.

1. Verify that QuickPost uses the correct server address, port, file format, and target directory.
2. For SFTP, the server's fingerprint or host key must be verified before the transfer works. Go to the security tab and enter the fingerprint from the SFTP server provider.
3. Run a manual export and check the List file, Result files, and QuickPost log.
4. If the export still fails, check DNS, internet access, firewall, and any proxy.
5. Good to keep in mind: Always verify the receiving server, file format, scheduling, and log results after a test run before putting the export into production. Also, feel free to verify the List Files and log after a test run to see if the file was created, moved, and actually sent without error codes.

The reset button has several functions depending on how many LED indicators your device has.

1. First, count the number of LEDs on the left side of the gateway.

2. On models with 14 LEDs, the number of button presses is used to select the function.

3. On models with 0 LEDs, a long press of about 10 seconds is used for reset functions.

4. Document network and login details before performing a reset.

1. Unless otherwise specified at the time of order, the gateway is normally delivered set to DHCP.

2. This means that the device will try to obtain an IP address automatically from the network's DHCP server at startup.

3. If the network does not use DHCP, you may need to set a static IP address before commissioning.

Password reset is done via the reset button and follows the hardware variant's reset functions.

1. On models with 14 LEDs, press the reset button 6 times to reset the password to factory default.

2. On models with 0 LEDs, a long press of about 10 seconds is used for the reset functions.

3. The default password is on the label on the side of the device.

4. Log in immediately afterwards and change to a new strong password.

Good to keep in mind: Change the default password immediately after the first login and save the information in a secure password manager or internal documentation. Network reset is used when the Ethernet settings need to be restored to a working level.

1. On models with 14 LEDs, press the reset button 5 times to restore the Ethernet settings.

2. On models with 0 LEDs, a long press of about 10 seconds is used for the reset functions.

3. Afterwards, check that you can reach the device with the correct IP address or via the Wizard.

1. First, check the current license under Basic settings and compare it with the number of loads and functions you need.

2. If the license is missing or too small, it needs to be updated.

3. Document the serial number, current license level, and desired number of loads or functions before ordering the change.

4. After the update, verify that the correct license level is displayed on the device.

QuickPost is used to send files via FTP, SFTP, or HTTP/HTTPS depending on the chosen method. Use the QuickPost wizard to set up the correct settings.

1. Enter server, port, login, file format, and target directory in QuickPost.

2. For SFTP, the server's fingerprint must be verified under Security before the transfer works.

3. Check the result in List file and that the files appear under Result files → Stored files after a successful upload.

4. Upload time is specified in UTC, and if Upload period is 0, one upload per day is used at the specified time.

Good to keep in mind: Always verify the receiving server, file format, scheduling, and log output after a test run before putting the export into production. For the 900 series, you should also verify the file format, server address, and – for SFTP – host key or fingerprint before considering the export stable.

A proper installation starts with protected mounting, correct power supply, and the right network environment.

1. Mount the device in a protected electrical cabinet or enclosure with at least 5 cm of free air around the device.

2. Connect external 24 V AC/DC with at least 36 W and connect GND to protective earth.

3. Connect Ethernet to a segmented and protected network.

4. Connect the M-Bus loops to the master outputs and use only one M-Bus master per loop.

5. After startup, check that Pwr first flashes red/green and then lights solid green.

6. Document the supplied password.
