With PiiGAB M-Bus Wizard, you can easily find PiiGAB data collection units on your network. It also includes a built-in Modbus client and an M-Bus ASCII client.

PiiGAB M-Bus Wizard is easy-to-use software that can be used to find your data collection units, such as PiiGAB M-Bus 810 and PiiGAB M-Bus 900S, on your network. PiiGAB M-Bus Wizard can be used with all types of M-Bus converters on the market, provided they support TCP/IP, UDP/IP, or serial communication.

Communicate with and test M-Bus meters

With PiiGAB M-Bus Wizard, you can communicate with and test M-Bus meters using either primary or secondary addressing. You can also change the meter’s primary address or communication speed. More advanced functions, such as Application Reset with subgroups and the ability to work with broadcast, are also available. You can also search for M-Bus meters on the M-Bus loop and display them in a table.

Set the IP address in PiiGAB gateways and converters

With PiiGAB M-Bus Wizard, you can set the IP address in PiiGAB M-Bus 810/820 and PiiGAB M-Bus 900S using the MAC address. PiiGAB M-Bus 810 is configured entirely through PiiGAB M-Bus Wizard. Here, you can also choose whether to communicate using TCP or UDP, which port number to use, and which communication speed should be used. The settings for PiiGAB M-Bus 900S are configured in its built-in web interface.

To test and verify the Modbus slave function in PiiGAB M-Bus 900S, we have built a complete Modbus test client into PiiGAB M-Bus Wizard. The client supports both the ModbusTCP and ModbusRTU protocols over TCP/IP, UDP/IP, or serial communication.

PiiGAB M-Bus Wizard also includes a built-in test client for PiiGAB’s own protocol, M-Bus ASCII. The client is fully generic and can be used by anyone who wants to develop their own M-Bus ASCII client and needs to compare and verify meter readings via PiiGAB M-Bus 900S.
